Through education, screenings, and outreach, I have worked to prevent the spread of cancer and support individuals in taking proactive steps toward their health. Dr. Munira Vajihi

I have been actively working to promote preventive care through educational talks focused on breast and cervical cancer awareness. I regularly educate women about the importance of self-breast examinations and encourage them to undergo annual mammograms as a critical step in early detection. In addition, I highlight the significance of Pap smears and the HPV vaccine as essential preventive measures against cervical cancer. To make screenings more accessible, I have organized mobile mammogram services at our Houston masjid campus.



Dr Mulla Munira Shaikh Adnan Basrai

I am a Senior Scientist in the Genetics Branch of Center for Cancer Research, NCI, NIH.  I am specifically interested in identifying inherited genetic changes that increases the risk of cancers in certain mumineen families.  I am hoping my efforts in ACP will guide mumineen to appropriate screening tests for early detection and treatment of cancers.

I am a urosurgeon as well as a cancer prevention specialist. I have a specific interest in offering  diagnostic investigation for prostate cancer, mainly early detection. In my practice, I focus on doing prostate biopsy, MRI, and PSA tests to confirm the diagnosis and plan cancer treatment.  I arrange cancer screening and help mumineen from all over who contact me for advice and support with their specific needs for treatment.
